Julie’s Consignment Cottage is inspired by the lovely boutiques throughout the Hamptons, Long Island. With handsome displays, exquisite accessories and clothing, cozy store lay-out and a stylish store owner that offers personal shopping advice; come visit our warm, relaxing and comfortable space and shop for beautiful consignment items.
Julie Harris is the owner of Julie’s Consignment Cottage, a beautiful boutique located in downtown Wellsville, NY. On consignment, she offers ladies’ clothing, accessories, small furniture and unique household items for both the indoors and outdoors.
Going Back…
In 1993, as the mother of 4 young children Julie opened a brand new consignment store in Allegany County that grew to sizable proportions over her 15 year tenure. Feeling the desire to do something on a smaller and more intimate scale, she sold her location and took her years of successful business management and consignment experience to begin the inspiration for Julie’s Consignment Cottage.
After taking a 2 year hiatus where she dabbled in real estate, gardening, pottery classes at the Wellsville Creative Arts Center, spending time with her new grandchildren and remodeling her federal-style brick home in Belfast, New York, she’s back!!
The Inspiration
For many years Julie has made regular trips to visit The Hamptons, Long Island. She has been long-inspired by the natural beauty of the ocean, beach and the exquisite stores that line the main streets of these small towns. With wonderful boutique consignment shopsthroughout the Hamptons, she wanted to open a store that was beautiful, organized, fresh and energizing for the community of Wellsvillve, surrounding residents and visitors.
Giving back
With a passion for helping the community grow, supporting local artisans and giving back the money made at her store to each consigner, she looks forward to spending many years at her new shop: Julie’s Consignment Cottage.
